Michèle St-Amant

Dance Educator

Originally from South Florida, Michèle St-Amant is a ballet teacher with extensive classical
training and performance experience. She began her training at Fort Lauderdale Ballet Classique
under the late Magda Auñon before continuing her studies under renowned Cuban teachers
Magaly Suárez and Ibis Montoto at The Art of Classical Ballet. During her training, she was
fortunate to receive coaching and mentorship from professional artists affiliated with Sarasota
Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and Miami City Ballet.

Michèle joined the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami as an Apprentice for two seasons,
performing corps de ballet roles in full-length productions including Giselle. Throughout her
training and company experience, she performed repertoire from major classical works including
Swan Lake, Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Le Corsaire,
La Bayadère, La Vivandière, and The Talisman.

Michèle holds certification in the Vaganova Method through the Bolshoi Ballet Academy
Teacher Training Seminar (BBA TTS Level 1) and is a certified member of the Performing Arts
Educators of Canada (PAEC). She also has experience teaching syllabus-based methods, as well
as preparing students for examinations, competitions, and showcases. Her teaching emphasizes
the development of strong classical technique, artistry, musicality, and promoting confidence in
every student to reach their full potential.
