Dance Educator

​

Hanna Begovic is a passionate choreographer, dance educator, and mentor with over a decade of experience in the dance industry. Her love for dance began at the age of three, and she trained competitively until the age of 17. Throughout her training, Hanna studied a wide range of styles including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, and Acro, developing a versatile foundation in technique, performance, and artistry.

Hanna continued her education at York University, where she completed the dance program and earned a Bachelor of Arts. During her time at York, she had the opportunity to train under influential Canadian dance artists including Susan Lee, Julia Sasso, John Ottmann, Tracey Norman, and many others. This experience expanded her artistic perspective and deepened her understanding of movement, choreography, musicality, and performance.

For over 10 years, Hanna has been choreographing for competitive dancers across the country. Her creative and dynamic choreography has earned multiple awards and high scores at competitions. Alongside her work in the competitive dance world, Hanna has also worked in the commercial and performance space, choreographing for national pageants, York University’s annual dance production Bloom, and other performance projects.

As an educator, Hanna strives to help every dancer develop confidence, versatility, and a genuine love for dance. She believes in creating an environment where dancers can find their individuality, push beyond their comfort zones, and become the strongest versions of themselves.
