Examiner of the Royal Academy of Dance

Fanny obtained both Advanced Certificate of the Royal Academy of Dance (Ballet), and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (National Dance) at an early age.

​

After dancing with the Hong Kong Ballet Company, Fanny went to England and studied under Mrs. Julia Farron, Mr. Alan Hooper and Mrs. Patricia McDonald at the Royal Academy of Dance (U.K.), she graduated in the Professional Dancers’ Teaching Course. Returning to Hong Kong she joined the Hong Kong Ballet company again and found the City Ballet School. She was appointed dance advisor by the Hong Kong University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Project Officer of the Youth Education Unit of the Hong Kong Ballet Company.

In 1991, Fanny came to Canada and began teaching classical ballet in GTA. In 2000, she started running dance program for the York Catholic District School Board. Fanny also taught ballet at various dance schools in Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Woodbridge, Markham and Toronto area. Her energy, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit lead to the founding of Allegro Dance School in 2005 and welcomes everyone who would like to explore and enjoy dance.

In the same year of 2005, Fanny was appointed to the Board of Vocational Grades Examiner of the Royal Academy of Dance and the Artistic Director of Allegro Dance Theatre. In 2011, Fanny was appointed Dual Examiner of the Royal Academy of Dance.
