Registered Ballet Teacher of The Royal Academy of Dance
Xiao Han Yan was trained at Beijing Dance Academy and dance with the Central Ballet of China. As a professional ballet dancer and teacher, Xiao has performed many roles in Classics, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and Giselle. After she moved to Canada, she danced with Ballet Espressivo and graduated from York University with a Master Degree in dance and the Teachers Training Program at Canadas National Ballet School.
Xiao has also taught in many professional ballet schools both in China and in Canada including Canada’s National Ballet School. Her students range from pre-school age to young adults, many of them has already started their career as professional dancers. While working in the studio with her students, Xiao enjoy sharing her passion for ballet with her students and believe it is the most important key to teaching.
